My son and I just finished 3 days at spotted bear.Amazing hospitalidad and a wonderful experience.Besides the great flloat triple, our guide Kevin McConnell took us on the most enjoy able walk and Wade trip I have been on.

Had a great stay and 2 days of floating the South fork. The lodge is beautiful, peaceful and remote. The staff is amazing, the food phenomenal and the atmosphere serene. The staff is low key and could not be more helpful. Our guide, Will, was super. Overall I cant recommend the lodge highly enough.

We’ve come to Spotted Bear 3 years in a row and it gets better every year. We’ve requested the same guide Tucker Who I’ll say is the best guide I’ve ever fished. Aside from bring a fish magnet His enthusiasm for Everything about the entire experience is obvious and does it with a fun and patient demeanor. Tom and the entire crew are so welcoming and attentive and the chef is world class. I’m anazed every year how they pull it off so far from civilization.

Went fishing with hill and all I can say if a bull trout is on your list these guys will help you get it checked off will be fishing again very soon

My son and I had a great experience at Spotted Bear. We fished three days, including a hike and wade on the Spotted Bear River, and float trips on both the upper and lower South Fork. All was wonderful and Jay was the best and hardest working guide ever! The food and hospitality were outstanding and the facility is just such a peaceful, comfortable place. I'll never forget the natural beauty of those rivers.

This was our second trip to spotted bear and it was off the charts. We’ve been fishing out west for 15 years and spotted bear is now our go to. Chris/Tara and staff are the perfect host. We fished for 5 days floating and wade walking and our guide tucker was knowledgeable,patient and a cutty whisperer!

We just returned from our second trip to Spotted Bear Ranch and are already talking about when we can go back next year! Spotted Bear Ranch is an amazing place to visit. A rare combination of phenomenal cuttthroat trout fishing, gorgeous landscapes and some of the nicest folks managing/guiding make for a truly special place. I just returned and I am already looking at my calendar to see when I can head back for another trip. Special thanks to Kevin, Jesse and Hudson for the awesome guided trips.

My second trip to Spotted Bear Ranch in two years exceeded all expectations. The water is gin clear, the bull and cutthroat trout fishing was excellent, and the staff is beyond reproach. Chris and his team of guides are a pleasure, and make all of it look very easy. I plan on returning every chance I get.

Just got back from my second trip to Spotted Bear and I’m already looking forward to going back! The fishing was incredible, all made possible by Chris and the rest of the guides. The float-trips are great for boating lots of fish, but I would also recommend one of the walk-n-wade trips upstream on the Spotted Bear River or up above “the upper” for a really neat experience. The accommodations are fairly basic but comfortable. The food is exceptional, better than most would expect. I would recommend without reservation.

The fishing and scenery are amazing. Best Cutthroat fishing out there. Guides are superb and so is the very friendly and accommodating lodge staff. I overheard one guest say this is the best Orvis lodge he's ever been to. And he's been to 5 or 6. Cabins are rustic but comfortable. Lodge is very nice and updated. Excellent food all prepared from scratch.

Great guides terrific staff, wonderful experience all around. Great bull trout and cutthroat fishing. Rustic but comfortable accomodations. A five star experience!!!

Third trip here and it is consistently an excellent experience. Scenery is jaw-dropping gorgeous, lodge is fantastic and fishing is a blast. The people is what makes a distinction, always feels like family. DANGER--This place is very hard to leave!!

Returned from a wilderness trip! Could not have had a better time! The wilderness staff was outstanding! Every part of the trip from the horse ride in, camp accomodation, food( Dutch oven Chocolate cake ), spectacular wilderness scenery and the Fishing was great. Many thanks to the SBR wilderness team !
